The Stach Story
Pete welds at a shipyard on Lake Superior during the week and welds lawn ornaments for his wife on the weekends, which he says is the harder job. His walrus mustache is a hedge against Duluth winters and a source of deep fascination to his four kids.
He grew it after his first child was born "so there'd always be something to hold onto." That has proven literally true.
Pete's kids have named the mustache, renamed it, and held a vote on the matter. The current name is binding until the next election.
