Submission Guidelines

Every upload is reviewed by a real person before it goes public. Follow these and you'll sail through moderation like a well-waxed handlebar through a stiff breeze.

1. You Must Have the Rights to the Image

Upload photos you took, or that were taken of you with the photographer's blessing. No screenshots of other people, no stock photos, no celebrity pics, no "found it online." If someone else is in the photo, they need to have agreed to be on Mr. Stach. Your submission is a promise that this is true.

2. No Minors

The person in the photo must be 18 or older. No kids with drawn-on mustaches, no "my son's first peach fuzz" — adorable, but not here. Accounts require users to be 13+; card submissions require adults.

3. No Nudity, Hate or Harassment

Shirts on, please. No nudity or sexual content, no hate symbols or slurs, no harassing or threatening captions, no doxxing, no content that targets anyone for who they are. Props and backgrounds count too.

4. Real Mustaches (Humor Welcome)

The mustache must be real and must be yours. Fake mustaches, filters and AI-generated faces will be rejected — the only AI-styling allowed is the opt-in Legend edition we create from your real photo. That said: funny poses, ridiculous nicknames, dramatic lighting and costume-adjacent flair are encouraged. The stach is serious. You don't have to be.

5. Respectful Service Representation

We love our firefighter, EMS, military, veteran and law-enforcement community. To keep that trust:

  • Only claim a service identity tag if it's true. Don't wear a uniform, badge or insignia you haven't earned.
  • Follow your department's or unit's rules about photos in uniform and on duty. When in doubt, ask your chain of command.
  • Nothing on Mr. Stach implies endorsement by any department, branch or agency — please don't suggest otherwise in your captions.
  • Keep identifying details (station numbers, unit patches, plates) to what you're comfortable sharing; privacy toggles are in your account.

6. Photo Quality Tips (Not Rules)

  • Face the light. Natural daylight near a window is the secret weapon.
  • Portrait orientation, mustache centered, phone at eye level. Your card is 2.5×3.5".
  • JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 8 MB. Higher resolution prints better.
  • Smile or scowl — but commit.

7. Moderation & Removal Policy

Submissions are reviewed within a few days. We may approve, reject (with a short note in your account), or request changes. We may remove content after approval if we learn it violates these guidelines, the Terms, or someone's rights. Repeat or serious violations close accounts. Decisions are made in good faith; you can ask questions via contact.

8. Community Reporting

See something that doesn't belong? Every community profile has a Report link. Tell us what's wrong and we'll take a look. If you appear in a photo you didn't consent to, choose "Takedown request" on the contact form and include the link — we prioritize these.
