The Stach Story
Ray did twenty-two years in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired as a gunnery sergeant. The regulation mustache stayed neat and within standards for two decades; the day after retirement it began its long, glorious expansion into a horseshoe.
He now owns a small gym near Camp Pendleton, where the motivational posters on the wall are mostly photos of his own mustache with captions he wrote himself.
Ray says the mustache is the only thing in his life that has never needed a waiver.
Grew it within regs for two decades. Retirement removed the regs.
