We set out to build the kind of site the mustache has always deserved and never quite gotten: part sports magazine, part humor rag, part hall of fame, part grooming manual, and entirely devoted to the strip of hair between your nose and your mouth. Think Sports Illustrated covering the upper lip with a straight face, MAD Magazine heckling from the back row, and a shoebox of vintage baseball cards sitting between them.

The Hall of Fame

Every great institution needs a Hall of Fame, and we refused to launch without one. The Mr. Stach Hall of Fame honors the actors, athletes, musicians, historical figures, firefighters, military veterans, and law-enforcement officers whose mustaches changed the conversation. Each inductee gets a full profile with a biography, a style breakdown, a "Why It Is Iconic" section, and the signature Mr. Stach Stats: Stash Power, Ruggedness, Curl Factor, and Legend Status.

Yes, those numbers are completely made up. Yes, we argued about them for hours. That is the point.

The Style Guide

Chevron, handlebar, horseshoe, walrus, pencil, English, Dali, imperial, lampshade, Fu Manchu, painter's brush. If you have ever stood in a mirror wondering what, exactly, is happening on your face, the Style Guide will name it. Every style comes with history, famous wearers, face-shape guidance, a difficulty rating, and a maintenance rating, plus growth, trimming, and care guides that are educational rather than medical. We are mustache people, not doctors.

Stach Battles

Two mustaches enter. One mustache leaves. Stach Battles put two legends head to head and let the community vote. Sam Elliott versus Burt Reynolds. Tombstone's Wyatt Earp versus Tombstone's Doc Holliday. Your firehouse captain versus the guy from the next district over. Battles run for a set number of days, results are archived forever, and bragging rights are non-refundable.

Community Profiles

This is the part we are proudest of. Anyone can create a profile, name their mustache, tell the story of why they grow it, and receive their own card with stats, a nickname, and a theme. Firefighters, veterans, police officers, teachers, dads, bartenders, competitive growers, and people who simply woke up one day and decided to stop shaving. Profiles can be tagged by identity so you can find your people, and community members can appear in Battles too.

A note on the folks who serve: profiles and features for firefighters, military members, and law enforcement are treated with the respect they deserve. We will joke about Burt Reynolds. We will not joke about the firehouse. And nothing on this site implies that any agency or department endorses anything we publish.

Stach Care

Our grooming section covers combs, waxes, balms, oils, trimming technique, and the long, awkward road through the "growing it out" phase. It is written by people who have made every mistake so you do not have to, and it is strictly educational. The Newsroom

That is where you are right now. The Mr. Stach newsroom covers celebrity mustaches, movie and TV facial hair, sports, firefighter and first-responder features, Movember, viral moments, weird history, and the competitive grooming circuit. We lean toward rankings, explainers, and features rather than breathless breaking news, because the mustache is a long game and so are we.
