About Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Charles Rodgers was born in 1983 in Chico, California. Lightly recruited out of high school, he played a year at Butte College before starring at Cal, and then famously sat in the green room on draft day 2005 until the Green Bay Packers took him 24th overall. He spent three seasons behind Brett Favre before taking over in 2008.

What followed was one of the great quarterback careers: Super Bowl XLV champion and MVP after the 2010 season, NFL MVP in 2011, 2014, 2020 and 2021, and a long run as the most efficient passer of his era, known for a quick release and a back-foot throw that coaches told kids not to copy. He holds some of the best touchdown-to-interception numbers in league history.

Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets in 2023, tore his Achilles four snaps into his debut, returned in 2024, and moved on to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025, still slinging it into his forties.
