The Stach Story
Bill has coached varsity baseball in Boise for twenty-three seasons and teaches American history in the building next to the field. His lampshade mustache is wide at the base and trimmed up at the corners, and his players believe it is responsible for every late-inning rally.
He grew it in honor of the 1970s ballplayers on the baseball cards he collected as a kid and still keeps in a shoebox in his classroom.
Bill says the three pillars of his program are fundamentals, hustle, and "looking like you belong on a 1976 Topps card."
