The Story

About Roger Raglin

Roger Raglin is an American outdoor television host and big-game hunter best known for his long-running hunting program, Roger Raglin Outdoors, which aired on outdoor cable networks including the Outdoor Channel. Based in Oklahoma, he built a loyal following among whitetail and big-game hunters with a camera-friendly mix of woodsmanship, plain-spoken commentary and unmistakable excitement whenever a hunt came together.

Over decades on air he became one of the most recognizable faces in the hunting-television genre, a personality who felt less like a presenter and more like a friend you might share a deer camp with. His programs and videos followed him across North America on whitetail, elk, bear and other big-game hunts, and he became a fixture of the outdoor-show circuit and the sporting-goods world.

Through all of it, one thing never changed: the mustache. Thick, dark and drooping well past the corners of his mouth, it is as much a part of the Roger Raglin brand as the camouflage and the big grin, and it is the reason he has a plaque here.

The Verdict

Why the Stach Became Iconic

In a genre full of beards and camo face paint, Raglin's mustache stood alone. It is a true horseshoe, heavy on top and dropping straight down the sides, and on camera it frames a face that is almost always mid-laugh or mid-whoop. Hunters who watched him in the 1990s and 2000s can picture it instantly.

It also earns points for consistency. Television personalities tend to change their look with the times; Raglin has kept the same mustache for his entire career, which is exactly the kind of lip loyalty the Hall of Fame was built to honor.
